FAQ
What time is my appointment? Oh, why donβt you assign times?
The reason we donβt give estimated appointment times is that we want our crew to be able to focus on each clientsβ needs without racing against the clock, so we avoid timed appointments to best serve you. Throughout the day, our customers may need to add tree work to their existing appointment and weβd rather not disappoint our customers, put our crew in a potentially dangerous situation or compromise the quality of our work. We hope you understand.
What do I need to do to prepare my yard for my appointment?
- Make sure there is easy access for our crew to get to the part of your yard that needs to be serviced including unlocking gates, moving items that may be blocking access, etc.
- Please remove all landscaping lights under or around the trees that could interfere with your service.
- Please move any patio furniture, decorative pots, or any other items under or around your trees that could interfere with service.
Do I need to be home in order for your crew to cut my trees?
Nope! You do not need to be home, all we need is access to the space where we need to work and detailed instructions on what you want done to your property.Β
Do I need a stump grind?
Some customers donβt mind a stump that isΒ cut flat to the ground but others would rather remove it by grinding it down 6β³ inches below grade. Stump grinding is not automatically included in your removal service, it is an add-on service that requires special equipment. Please make sure to clearly mark any irrigation lines, plumbing, etc. that may be close to your tree.
Can I plant a new tree in the same spot as my old tree?
No, it is not recommended to plant a new tree over the top of a recently removed stump.
Simply plant the new tree adjacent to the stump, but keep the new planting hole at least three feet away from the stump to allow your new tree ample growing/rooting space (i.e., new trees need adequate mineral soil with good fertility and drainage for proper rooting and water/nutrient uptake).
Thanks for the service, what do I need to do to keep my trees healthy?
Immediately after trimming, water your trees heavily.Β
Trees appreciate a thorough helping of water to help them recover. You should continue watering regularly, increasing water during droughts to prevent water stress, as water supports the new shoots that develop after pruning.
Do you take cash, check, or credit?
Payment can be made by cash or check. We do accept credit cards but there will be a 4% admin fee added to the total. Our crew will collect payment at the end of your service. We cannot accept payment by mail.Β
Can I cancel my appointment?
We understand that life happens and that things come up but our calendar tends to fill up quickly. To avoid unhappy customers and unhappy crew members, appointments cancelled within 7 days will be subject to a $400 cancellation fee.
